Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for individuals that would like to join a fast paced, professional, growing environment. You will oversee and facilitate the warehouse operations of our terminal. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and process to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
What you’ll do:
Coordinating and monitoring logistics operations responsibilities and KPI’s
You are a hands on leader
Responsible for ensuring division achieves or exceeds yearly budget
Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior
Supervision of all staff under your direct or indirect control
Ensure all resources are utilized efficiently
Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues
Maintain day to day market pricing knowledge
Manage spot quote requests
Liaise with procurement to provide carrier costs and solutions on new and existing business
Liaise with sales and procurement to operationalize solutions
Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL
Source carriers for new and existing customers
Track loads and provide customers with up-to-date information
Manage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customers
Liaise with customers and carriers to facilitate their pickup and delivery appointments
Follow up on delivery delays or security issues
Grow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationships
Preform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
Must Haves:
Minimum 3 years warehouse management experience
Minimum 3 years working with asset-based trucks and drivers
Minimum 3 years in a management or supervisory role
Experience in all modes of transportation within North America. Rail, road, air, ground expedites
Ability to make quick decisions
Strong attention to details
Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task
Effective teamwork skills
Ability to work under pressure and proactively implement contingency plans
A high degree of initiative
Conflict management
Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities
